Here’s a win a house competition with a difference: the prize isn’t a property, but a building plot on the beautiful Isle of Skye. It’s a quarter of an acre with outline planning permission, and comes free of all legal charges.
Tickets cost £45 each, which is more than most win a house competitions, but the payoff is that only 2,100 will be sold – which is fewer than most win a house competitions. So if you enter, your chances of winning are (relatively) high.
It’s definitely one for the ambitious: since becoming a homeowner, I’ve discovered that it’s all we can do to paint a wall, let alone embark on a Grand Designs mission. But if your interest has been piqued, you’ll find more details – along with a bunch of stunning photographs – at the competition website.
