If you work in Central London, this wheeze from the cashback site Quidco might be up your street – literally.
It’s called the Quidco Cashback Boutique, and it’s a pop-up-shop that is going to be giving away free cash to everyone who walks in.
The Cashback Boutique will be located just off Oxford Street at 7-8 Rathbone Place, London W1T 1HN, for one morning only: Thursday 28 June 2012 from 9 am to 1 pm. Pop in and you can get up to £100.
You have to download some sort of mobile app. It isn’t clear if this is the regular Quidco app or a new one, but apparently you can download it outside the Boutique before you go in.
That’s all I know, so don’t blame me if you trek there on your lunch hour, queue for ages and come away with 10p. But if you’re nearby it’s worth a look, isn’t it?

UPDATE – A message from the chaps at Quidco, who saw this post and emailed to let me know that the latest version of the app is free, and will be available to download from Wednesday 27 June 2012. “The newest Quidco app is set to transform the high street: shoppers simply download it for free, check into any of the 70+ signed-up stores and receive cash into their Quidco account. Users are literally paid for stepping into their favourite shops – under no obligation to buy. The ‘check in’ function rewards the user with cash when they check in upon entering a store. The shopper is under no obligation to make further purchases and the monetary incentive is paid into the Quidco user’s account. www.quidco.com to download the app.”
