I love Marc Jacobs “Daisy” fragrance and usually have a good old spritz whenever I happen upon a stray tester bottle. Sadly like many bottles of coloured, smelly water, it’s a bit dear: around £50 for 100ml, in SpaceNK.
The solution? I think you’ll like this one…
…Buy your perfume unpackaged! Let’s face it, the packaging is headed straight for the bin anyway: it looks pretty but it’s a waste of space, trees and polymers.
At SHOP.com you can buy a unpackaged, 100ml bottle of Daisy by Marc Jacobs for £34.87 – that’s a saving of more than £15! A saved sum that is, I’m sure you’ll agree, a lot of money to pay for a glossy little box.

Wait a minute… unpackaged? You mean no box or wrapping? That’s a great idea. After all, unless you’re giving it as a gift, who needs the box! Another great little thing you can do to save. Looks like the Power of Small strikes again 🙂

@Kate: I agree, this makes a lot of sense. After all, the packaging goes straight in the bin. Well, make that the recycling bin!
Now I’ve been able to find my favourite after shave – Cool Water – way cheaper: http://www.shop-com.co.uk/+-a-Cool+Water+Cologne+by+Davidoff+for+Men+-g1-k24-st.shtml
OK, so it’s a bit chavvy, but everyone says they love it when I wear it!
