Thanks to everyone who entered the Tesco Christmas voucher competition: there were more than 500 entries on the blog and on the Miss Thrifty Facebook page, and some brilliant ideas that I am hoping to roll into a top tips post over the coming days.

@Brendakain – Ah, is this a well-known tip then? Usually I spend Christmas Eve in traffic gridlock travelling down south, or have been a super-organised swot and sorted everything way in advance (sometimes both), so have never tried it. Thought it sounded good though.
@Nicko – I think that Jo-Anne means 1 pm rather than 1 am. Or does she…?
