The new Twilight novella from Stephenie Meyer, The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner, is now live at www.breetanner.com. You can read it there for FREE until 5 am on 6 July 2010.
As Miss Thrifty has lots of female readers in the 18-25 category (at least according to the Alexa stats), I feel it is my duty to inform you about this once-in-a-lifetime offer. I also feel it is my duty to point out that if you go to the website to read the book, don’t forget to select the full-screen option (top right). Otherwise you’ll squint at the screen.
I have a love-hate relationship with the Twilight books. I don’t like the writing, I don’t get the Edward thing (it would be a bit cougarish, wouldn’t it? I’m older than his adoptive mom) and I’m not mad keen on the representation of women in the books. BUT I couldn’t put them down until I’d read them all… Hmm.
This video always make me laugh though.

Ah, this is very true! I guess that when I write about Edward, I’m really thinking about RPattz. Where others see a smokin’ hot dreamboat, I see… a child.
And don’t even get me STARTED on Justin Bieber.
