Despite Waitrose’s reputation for being on the expensive side, there are still bargains to be found in this most genteel of British supermarkets. I’ve just been out and picked up these pretty ice cream bowls for £2.25 each, reduced from £3.00.
Forget ice cream – these ceramic bowls are as practical as they are pretty. They are microwave and dishwasher-friendly. I love the colours: they remind me of the latte bowls from Anthropologie, but are bigger and cheaper.
Sadly I can’t find them on the Waitrose website, but these bowls are still available in-store – there are still a fair few left at the store closest to me.

Hi Miss Thrifty, thanks for trying to help me, have already subscribed to you, but was actually asking Amanda from Crafty in the Med how to join her site as I couldn’t see the photos. I feel terrible, as for the past few years I’ve thought that I’ve been a follower of hundreds of blogs but just realised that unless you actually click on join this site, you are only classed as a reader! I have just been copying and pasting the url and this apparently doesn’t count! My followers must think be awful for not reciprocating … will have to do a post on this! Thanks for helping, Claire xx
